Oil

There is a debate from few years about oil deposits in Sri Lanka.
But there may be a problem weather is it true?
How ever some suggestions also arised made by petrolium geologists.
Some assumptional places also there.

Actually Sri Lankan EEZ is included oil deposits.
Geological conditions also fulfilled in the area of Mannar bay.
Some GPS are performed oil deposits arround Kirinda. But it is due to oil spills in Shipping way.

  3. Destruction of habitats

About Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka is a country surrounded by Indian ocean and having gigantic number of rivers and lakes that occur naturally and man made.
In the limit of Exclusive Economic zone in Sri Lanka having gigantic number of resources like minerals and fisheries.
In the resoviours and lakes it is having number of endamic fish and plants can be used to several things like medicine, food etc...
So present we have to seek to extract these resources for sustainable development of Sri Lanka.
